Description
Scenario: authors improve an article according to reviewers' comments. This requires that the authors prioritise the reviewers' comments (in a way that's only visible to them).
I.e.
- which comments they are going to address, which ones to ignore,
- which comments have a high priority for them (regardless of whether the reviewer classified them as "major" or "minor")
- effort estimates
- assignment of such tasks to authors
For the user interface, think of something like an issue tracker that supports a planning methodology such as Jira's Scrum boards, where each issue is a box that you can drag into to-do lists (one list per scheduled Sprint). See the screenshot at https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/agile (search for "Scrum board")
Poor man's solution: send emails to the assigned authors with the following content:
- copy of the reviewer's comment's text
- link to the comment (TODO open a new issue for assigning URLs to comments)
- priority of the task
