show category labels in Map Display/d.legend?

Hi,
I created a raster map with mapclac. Then I assigned categories to value intervals using r.category using the following rule:

-500:-250:High Regrowth
-250:-100:Low Regrowth
-100:100:Not Burned
100:270:Low Severity
270:440:Moderate Low Severity
440:660:Moderate High Severity
660:1300:High Severity

But when displaying the map legend in MapDisplay, all I get are the raster values. How to show the category labels? I'm sure I've seen it done before...

I got it with r.reclass
