The new frontend is so stupidly fast that it makes me cry tears of joy after so many years. The only thing that's a bit annoying is how thin changed items are, especially when you zoom out a lot. Example:
In that screenshot I seriously can't tell the changed items from the dust on my monitor.
A thick halo like before is probably not good, but maybe just a tiny bit, so that things like this don't end up rendering in a single pixel could help.

Thanks for the feedback (and glad you are finding the performance improvements useful!). I agree that the thinner lines can be harder to see, especially when elements are very small on-screen like in the example you shared. When I made the lines thinner I did not alter the colors much, which I think resulted in lower apparent contrast. I'll play around with boosting the colors and/or bumping the thickness back up slightly to strike a better balance.
