Ok for me for the training |
I would also like to receive some training |
same |
I'll join too if we can line up schedules and time zones, but will be away July 2-15 |
Great! Please @callumrollo or @sophieclayton or someone else go ahead and schedule a training date. I will not join due to my new work starting this Friday. I wish you all a lot of success with this SOP :) Hope it will not only become a living but a flying document! |
GitHub training This will cover editing documents on GitHub, managing Issues and PRs, and how the SOPs work as living documents. The training will take around 30-40 mins on zoom. All you need is a GitHub account, no git experience required. Anyone who would like to join the training, please email me at [email protected] and let me know what timezone you're in. We'll pick a date sometime in the next two weeks via a doodle poll. @sophieclayton @pipa85 @catsch @tjryankeogh @MOchiara |
Hi! I have added a message to the discussion tab but maybe here it is more suitable. I am trying to add some material to this project. I have limited knowledge and fairly new to this type of project collaboration but I am slowly adding what I know and possible suggestions. Given how nice the SOP for salinity and oxygen are, it would be nice to have a nice one for chlorophyll too! Happy to maybe organize a quick meeting at some point to discuss how to move forward and who else can collaborate to project! Hope to hear back from any of you soon! Chiara |
Hi Chiara |
Next steps:
1) I will clone the oxygen SOP repo and adapt everything to from oxygen_* to chla_* -> Done https://github.com/OceanGlidersCommunity/Chla_SOP
2) We might have to make a quick training with everyone who does not feel 100 % secure with GitHub. @callumrollo just told me that he will offer a 30 min training for everyone. This is in particular key for the lead authors who have to govern the document.
3) Will assign admin, write rights etc. This will be based on already existing work in the framework of OOI and the OceanGliders DMQC chapter which was also lead by @pipa85 or?
4) Start to work on the SOP
This is just a suggestion based on the other SOP experiences.
I think key is to train everyone to ensure we feel all secure with the tools here. :)
