Wind Direction change using a Time Series

Hi everyone,

I'm just getting started using Fast and I've been wondering if there's a way to change the wind direction during the simulation. I've tried looking it up through the manual and the forum but I couldn't find anything regarding time-varying wind direction (except for the possibility of applying turbulence) within a single simulation. Is there really no way to do it or am I missing something?

Dear @PierDG,

The InflowWind module of OpenFAST supports multiple wind data types. The uniform wind data file format supported by WindType = 2 supports a user-specified time series, including wind direction change. If you are using full-field turbulent wind inflow, e.g. from TurbSim, supported by WindType = 3, 4, 5, or 7, these all assume that the wind is propagating along a single direction (without a wind direction change) defined via PropagationDir.
