It's difficult to increase the sample buffer b/c this slows down the processing (sometimes I must copy the buffer content and cannot use a reference). Also the processing time is affected by the buffer size, e.g. FFT is O(n*log n). I remember that the chosen value was a good trade-off between safe triggering on sporadic events and fast UI response. |

Why is 5kS/s the limit in roll mode?
The readme of https://github.com/Ho-Ro/Hantek6022API suggests that up to 200 kS/S can be collected continuously.
This would be very nice for audio projects (which need at least 40kS/s).
I was also wondering if it would be possible make the 20kS window modifiable in the GUI. This would allow to collect a larger chunk and then zoom in.
That would allow to properly investigate high bandwidth signals with a single capture (e.g. audio 20Hz to 20kHz).
A window size of 200kS would be very nice in conjunction with the maximum rolling sampling rate of 200kS/s for manual trigger (pausing in roll mode).
