Win 11 - App Crash - After Device Detection #453
Description
System / Driver / Version Information (for context):
- Win 11 Home 23H2
- Driver: winusb.sys (10.0.22621), installed via Sadie 2.9
- OpenHantek 3.4.0-34 (MSVC x64)
Issue: After executing OpenHantek.exe (for a second time on system, after changing setting/options), applications crashes. This after the Select Device screen pops-up, device detection is successful, and the application attempts to launch.
Fix: From command prompt, run the “OpenHantek.exe —reset settings”. Propose adding this to the issue/fix to the README.
Other Thoughts/Comments: I’m happy to help debug root cause. I will try to play with settings/relaunching see if I can isolate the root cause. Maybe a longer term solution is to implement “if crash, prompt user to reset settings” loop in the UI. I’m not a C guy or I’d offer to help develop.
