Description
Somebody reported on Sourceforge [tickets:#450]:
Background: Using a pen instead of a mouse has the two disadvantage that neither the short-cuts (right-click) nor the navigation (scroll & drag; middle button) is available. While still handy for small displays the first disadvantage accentuates on bigger screens, leading to pretty long click-paths.
I therefore propose to introduce the long click for the android version to act as substitute for the desktop versions right-click. This would at the same time solve another problem more apparent in the android version than in the desktop version: Changing tool while drawing an object (for example to drag the displayed window while drawing a long contour; or switching to the select tool to modify a unfinished line) leads to irreversible loss of the object due it is not "finished". While the desktop version shows the same "bug" it seldom gets apparent due to the fact that right-click opens the short-cuts and finishes the actual object at the same time.
While is would be a big improvement to just have the long-click working exactly the same for the Android version as the double-click for the desktop version on longer term one might think of the integration of the Android specific buttons "snap" etc. into the short cut menu.
