Cannot connect to CUPS from QEMU

I have a laptop running both CUPS and a VM on QEMU, other computers on my network can access CUPS just fine and i can access CUPS from localhost on the laptop just fine. when i try to access CUPS from my VM though, i get this error:
[08/Feb/2026:19:48:29 -0600] [Client 1] Request from "localhost" using invalid Host: field "10.0.2.2:631".
how do i fix this? i've tried explicitly allowing 10.0.2.2 and it didn't fix it. i also tried ServerAlias * and this also did not help.
