Cleaning up View Modes

Key issues:

• Don't know were Meta Content View Mode is being used
• Believe that both PECE Image Artifact and Card - Full Text are duplicates of Card. (Maybe custom config happening elsewhere?
• Not sure why design logic and substantive logic have an Introduction page

Offhand, the meta content view mode is used for rendering artifact and analytic in the annotation card display. There may be other places? But that is the main one I recall

Okay it's actually used to render those items in a handful of view modes for the annotation. It is also used in the artifact bundle card view mode

So i spent a little bit of time looking at the various xray modules, which help to provide insights on view mode usage, among other things. This one is a little bit helpful: https://www.drupal.org/project/xray_audit

It's a lot to look at, but with good ctrl+f usage and enough scrolling around it does the job. I don't think it offers any analysis of view mode usage directly in views, but you can at least use it so see which view modes are being rendered inside of other view modes (all on one admin page)

this is just what it was called on the D7 version, and that naming was preserved.

Intro page seems to have also made it onto Project, but shouldn't be needed there either. View modes can be removed from each content type by going to the default view mode page for that content type and unchecking the view modes that you don't want under "Custom Display Settings"

As for potentially duplicate view modes. Some of them may have the same configuration, but different theme templates and CSS. Unfortunately that will require some manual review. FWIW with a quick glance I can see that there is a custom template for pece image artifact. I can't remember though whether there is a good reason to have that view mode (with such a custom name). I would love if we could get rid of it, but presumably there is a reason for it?
