Manually launch file analysis

Is there a mean to manually re-analyse a file or a group of files ? After a migration from 1.6 to 1.7, if I send manually a file(s) in media/items/, the player cannot read them. I have to send them manually from the web. I think it is related to the features analysed in TimeSide 9.0.
