Collaboration not working outside localhost

Hi mate,

This is really cool. Thanks for all the work on this. I assume i'm doing something wrong.

I've executed the windows release and can access Excalidraw, the collaboration features all work when hitting localhost. When i try to hit the address from an external address (via a reverse proxy on nginx proxy manager and duckdns) i get a shareable link, and can access it from the other machine (which shows the same Canvas) but it is no longer live.

Any ideas?

On your local machine the IP and port you expect matches the one that is baked into the binary. The frontend patch sets it to port 3002. Localhost:3002 is meaningless for any browser client behind a reverse proxy.

You either want to rebuild it for hosting on AWS (that I did) with port 80/433 and the correct domain. Or patching the port and hostname similar to firebase inside golang is an option.
