I vastly underestimated the level of annoyance switching the ingest backfill period from 36 to 48 hours was! It should not have taken as many tries as it did to get this live, and it showed some limitations with changing the ingest data. Hoping that the new version codes in this release simplify this in the future, and not changing the backfill any time soon!
