[Question] Does this node allow configuring the cameras and starting calibration?

We're using a nerian scenescan for providing depth vision to a robot. Currently, we need to configure it using its own web interface, but it would be nice to be able to integrate calibration and colour configuration in the robot GUI.

Is that possible?

Calibration is unfortunately not accessible via the API at all at this point, only through the web interface.

As for color configuration, only some functionality on SceneScan is exposed via the API: you can basically change the pixel format of the camera from its available options (e.g. between Grayscale, RGB and Bayer - this is camera dependent!), and this will take effect immediately (and you can of course also choose to save it to the persistent configuration).

For SceneScan specifically, the USB camera features are quite manufacturer-dependent – they are all visible in the web interface, but due to their wide variance (and rather low demand for on-the-fly reconfiguration) were never remapped to any Nerian features for the API (aside from the very basics: ROI size, position, input pixel format and binning/subsampling/decimation factors - these can all be changed at runtime and optionally persisted).

You can take a look at the output of the parameter_enumeration_example to see all options that are accessible via the API on your specific model, configuration and firmware version, even if they have no 'convenience' getter/setter function in DeviceParameters.
