why did my data files disappear?

Describe the issue

So I have an old laptop with the Asus brand model x200m and I want to try to debloat this old laptop, maybe it can be a little lighter.So when I run the script, I use custom mode, when in the last option after selecting in GUI I choose not to modify the files explorer taskbar and menu context option, and after I restarted my laptop I found that my files were lost one by one when i refreshed the explorer, i use an SSD (Kingston 128GB)

partition was completely empty before I had around 10GB± of data and Now my data is completely gone, bar on This pc shows that my data volume is 30.4 gb free of 31.3gb is this a bug? is my data really lost forever???

and I apologize if there are any misspelled words, I use translate.

Steps to reproduce

I just use the custom mode based on wiki
choose not to modify file explorer, taskbar and context menu

Error output

the only error message i encountered is only failed to create restore point.

Hey,

What kind of files were on the partition? The only files I could think of that can be deleted by the script are program installation files if you opted to remove the programs.

Also, have you checked the recycle bin to see if any files are in there?

The files in the partition is just a bunch of documents (like docx, pdf, xlsx) and some pict (png, jpg)

and just to give and update i manage to recover some of tbe files using data recovery apps, not all data recovered tho 😞

I see. Glad you managed to recover some stuff. Are you sure the data was actually there before you ran the script? You mentioned it's an older machine, it's possible this is a hardware-level corruption or something. I really can't think of any way the script could cause this, it's on a different partition that the script does not touch.
