Minimum size for SD card

Is there a minimum suggested SD card capacity on which to install RaspAP? The reason I'm asking is because I'm using a spare 4GB card and the last two times there were upgrades, they didn't finish. Doing a clean install worked just fine.

4GB is considered the bare minimum for RPi OS. 8GB is recommend for RaspAP; more if you're hosting large applications.

A fresh install of RPi OS 64-bit Lite (bookworm) with the latest kernel uses ~2.6G. On this device /dev/mmcblk0p2 is the main partition mounted as the root filesystem (/):

I'm using a 32GB card here. A typical RaspAP install uses just 200MB.

If your upgrades didn't finish, it's likely lack of storage was the cause. Linux systems write lots of cache files and temporary data to disk. These will accumulate in /tmp and elsewhere if you haven't rebooted in awhile. Also bear in mind that desktop distros use substantially more storage.
