Journalists requested emails, messages, texts, and financial records related to harm against Amber, although they didn't fully understand the scope of the situation. There further are issues of understanding Artists Cases and needs specific to their uniqueness with sympathy. Our investigation had already revealed suspicions about Hollywood fixers, and around May 12, a Viper Room witness exposed additional issues of witness interference. Within a week, on May 19, this witness texted that he would testify for Amber Heard, while he had known Johnny Depp, although at that point we didn't yet know the full extent of violence that could be corroborated.
The issue of unconsented recordings of phone calls represents a serious violation of privacy that has far-reaching consequences for victims and their families. When recordings are made without proper consent and then disclosed or used inappropriately, they become powerful tools for coercion, stalking, and manipulation. The situation involving Ed Shaw and the Viper Room of unconsented recordings used for coercion illustrates how such practices can create ripple effects that harm multiple parties, including family members who become unwitting targets of illegal surveillance.
These unconsented recordings are weaponized to exploit disputes, creating ongoing cycles of financial abuse and emotional trauma that persist long after the initial violation occurs.
The manipulation extends beyond retaliation victims, as seen in cases where even representatives like Adam Waldman and alleged "Johnny witnesses" (sympathizers) become targets of unconsented recording. This creates an environment where multiple parties are exploited and pitted against each other, making it difficult to address the root source of the coercion.
Artists and assault victims are particularly vulnerable to these tactics, as their creative work and personal trauma can be exploited through unauthorized recordings and used to silence and retaliate against them. The historical precedent with California's 1950s case against Confidential Inc and Hollywood Research demonstrates that this problem has deep roots in practices, yet the passage of time has not diminished its impact on those affected.
The focus should remain on understanding the lived experiences of artists and assault victims rather than reviewing objects, as this approach often serves to perpetuate the exploitation rather than stopping it. Compassion and care are essential when addressing these situations, recognizing that behind every case are real people - including vulnerable artists and trauma survivors - whose lives have been disrupted by these invasive practices that violate both their privacy and their healing process.
The Viper Room investigation proved crucial, as many witnesses could have provided support if they had not been intimidated and blackmailed. Former friends and contacts were specifically targeted by fixers who knew these individuals could provide corroborating testimony about character and witnessed violence, including one witness who saw a cigarette being put out on a woman. By preventing these witnesses from coming forward, the fixers/stalkers were able to isolate and dehumanize the victim(s), making it appear as though she didn't know what happened and had no support.
This coordinated witness intimidation constitutes an illegal extortion racket. The focus should remain on understanding the lived experiences of artists and assault victims rather than only using objects, as this approach often serves to perpetuate the exploitation rather than stopping it.
Compassion and care are essential when addressing these situations, recognizing that behind every case are real people - including vulnerable artists and trauma survivors - whose lives have been disrupted by these invasive practices that violate both their privacy and their healing process.
Industry Warning: This pattern of using insider threats and fixers to target artists and their families, actresses, models, and socialites is unfortunately common. Those in similar situations should maintain close oversight of their cases and verify information independently through trusted individuals.
