For example, a friend and I took a walking tour and paid the guide a total of $30. $10 came from me and $20 came from my friend. We would like to split the cost evenly, and thus I owe my friend $5. Is there a way to enter such a transaction?

My current workaround is to enter two transactions, each split evenly. Another possibility I thought of is to enter a transfer of $10 from me to my friend, followed by the friend paying $30 to the tour guide. Both of these are a bit clunky, however.

Hi,

multi-payer transactions are currently not supported out of the box though you could maybe work around it with a small hack using transaction positions.

Transaction positions allow negative values which allows you to do the following.

Create a 0$ transaction with equal shares for you and your friend.

Add one position with value of -20$ one with -10$ and assign them for you and your friend respectively.

I think being able to add multiple payers if needed would be a nice new feature :)
