Making output file more useful.

Is it possible for the output file to be updated during the course of the calculation? For example, one tries to calculate a binary phase envelope for several data points, which is a time-consuming calculation. It will be more efficient to see how the resulting values early of the first calculated data points instead of waiting until the whole calculation for all the data points is finished.

Display progress. Say there are 10 input points to be evaluated; once one of them is processed, then display 1/10 is done. Even better, provide ETA, though this might require more work.
