Ideas from LINXS Workshop, 20th April 2023
-Need more magnetic models than just what is in the marketplace
- e.g. Hedgehog Spin-Structure,
Artichoke Spin-Structure,
Vortex-type Spin-Structures inside of nanoparticles of different shapes
(sphere, cube, ...)
skyrmion models (Neel type, Bloch type)
uniform mag core with radial magnatization in shell
spin wave model to describe/generate several spin structures
-Need verification that they are implemented correctly
-Need to move them to distribution package
-Star like and other more complicated structure would be good but the different arms may have different domains or "crystalites"
-domains inside particles? Is there a case to be made to combine simulation with analytical in some way ?
-A complex model builder using basic shape amplitudes to build up complicate structures would be very useful.
- CAD-like tedrahedron lattice volume designer for nuclear and magnetic scattering
-How to add spin structure within a shape layer e.g core-shell cylinder etc - maybe divide into multiple small layers of essentially uniform magnitization?
Conclusions:
3 . For magnetic models need to go beyond the concept of uniform slabs as there is often spin structure in any given layer
