Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A very common operation on data is to subtract the background AND THEN divide the curve by the concentration. This is what is required to put a series of contrast/contrast data onto the same scale. Currently this requires TWO data operations. Describe the solution you'd like
It would be VERY useful for that to be only one operation.
Describe alternatives you've considered
NA -- whatever method allows this to be done in one go works.
Additional context
Identified during NIST CNR summer school but not an actual bug and therefore not labeled being labeled for 6.0.0 release
