Sites not on block list are not working

Summary

I turned on self-control for multiple days, and it successfully blocked all sites on my block list.
Unfortunately it also blocked other sites not on my block list, including these two:
http://theadvisorsadvantage.com/
https://www.reveddit.com/

I was able to duplicate as it is again happening during a different self-control session

Only thing unique is that my blocked sites show up as : This site can’t be reached xyz.com refused to connect.
But the sites above show: This site can’t be reached www.reveddit.com took too long to respond.

Background Info

SelfControl version? Version 4.0.2 (410)

macOS version? Sequoia 15.3.2

Do you use a VPN/proxy, and if so which one? BitDefender but the problem happens with it on or off

Has this ever worked for you on a prior version of SelfControl? If so, when? Not sure, I think it's a new issue

Any other special system setup we should know about? No. I did try with Brave, Chrome, Safari and Firefox. None could reach the site. No issues with my mobile on the same standard internet router setup

How Do We Reproduce This Issue?

I just started a self-control session with the 65 sites i have blocked, then tried to visit the two sites above.

What Should Have Happened?

I expected to be able to visit those two sites, like I can when self-control timer is not running

What Actually Happened Instead?

What did you actually see? e.g. what error messages popped up, what window is showing what text, etc.

This site can’t be reached
www.reveddit.com took too long to respond.
Try:

Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_TIMED_OUT

Update: With a new blocklist, the problem is solved. But if I import the old blocklist the problem returns. Seems something on that list is causing issues with completely different websites.
