See Anna Weber email chat; Bio-Oracle mostly seems curated for ease of use, which makes it a great starting point especially with the more commonly used variables. And it's the easiest (or only) way I've found so far to access projected future climate data. I also recently became aware of MARSPEC [http://www.marspec.org/], which has even higher spatial resolution but fewer variable options.
