Regarding #46 I do like the idea of ripping out the old mechanism there and letting devs fully manage it.

I would suggest, however, that a CLI tool be made available to "prepopulate / seed" the component map using the old generate-component-builder logic. This will make migrations a lot easier. I'd say it should be intended as more of a migration tool than something devs would use day-to-day.

Is there a way to achieve this functionality with exisiting tools?

We see this the same and have a ticket alreqdy opened to reintroduce the generation process, but in a far more optimized way 👍
