Hoverfly not working as a real proxy server

Not able to simulate 407 Proxy Authentication Required responses directly via Hoverfly for CONNECT requests.

Hoverfly is not working as real proxy where it challenge the request and get 407 proxy Authorization required exception instead it is giving 200 ok status.

Hi @naveenyamsani, could you provide more details of your setup please? Are you trying to use hoverfly to simulate a proxy server that requires authentication? Are you able to share the simulation file you are using?

Hi @tommysitu I have an application that is calling an external endpoint via a proxy server that requires kerberos authentication.

Expectation is when a call went to actual service via a proxy server should challenge the request with UNCHALLENGE state and respond me with 407 proxy authentication required exception when it calls the actual service with CONNECT type http method then it will change the state to CHALLENGE. But always returning 200 status which is continuously placing state as UNCHALLENGE.

Are you using simulate or capture mode? It'd suspect this might be an issue with goproxy which handles the underlying connect request.
