"Unable to connect to Home Assistant" after broken update with "System error" #6687

Description

@WesSouza

Is this a new Bug?

  • I checked that the bug hasn't been reported before

Package Name

Home Assistant Core

Package Version

2024.12.5-24

Device Model

DS718+

Device Architecture

x86_64

Firmware Version

DSM 7.2.2-72806 Update 4

What happened?

When trying to update the package, it failed with a generic message.

Image

Package Center got stuck showing the package was still updating. After restarting the NAS the package center said it should be repaired but that failed with the same error, and got stuck again on "Repairing".

After a while the status normalized to "Running", however I can't navigate to it anymore, it shows 400: Bad Request.

I'm not sure if this changed with the upgrade, but I had to edit /var/packages/homeassistant/var/config/configuration.yaml to allow proxy forwarding (I use Synology's Login Portal Reverse Proxy).

I'm still unable to log in with a "Unable to connect to Home Assistant." error.

Reproduction steps

  1. Try to upgrade the package
  2. Upgrade fails

Install Log

The folder /var/packages/homeassistant/target does not have a folder var. The parent folder has it but no install logs.

Service Log

The folder /var/packages/homeassistant/target does not have a folder var.

Here's /var/packages/homeassistant/var/homeassistant.log.
