Does the problem resolve after trying to open the video more than once?

This is exactly the issue I'm facing the last 3-4 days.

Videos have to be opened 3, 4 , 5 times before they actually play now.

I have the same issue, but as of today, videos simply do not play anymore at all.

Looks like some discrepancies caused by YouTube webpage updates that may have rendered newpipe extractor unusable. yt-dlp works fine though.
