Description
Feature Description:
A user-selectable audio delay option that adjusts according to the connected Bluetooth device. Users can enter a delay in milliseconds (positive or negative), allowing synchronization of audio with video playback. Delaying the video to match audio is the most common use case.
Why This Feature is Needed:
Bluetooth headphones often introduce latency (mine has about 200ms), causing audio and video to be out of sync, which is disruptive during playback. This feature would provide a way to correct the sync of the audio and video.
Additional Information:
Some audio devices may support delay reporting to some phone, but it often requires specific player support or may not be implemented universally. MX Player offers a similar feature that works well for me, I set an audio delay, and MX Player remembers it for my Bluetooth headphones while using zero delay for the phone’s built-in speakers.
Below is a screenshot of the option in MX Player:
So it would be really nice to have similar option in NewPipe/NewPlayer
