Is there a way for Anubis not to hijack thumbnails?

Image previews stop showing behind Anubis, and in things like Discourse-based forums you get "Making sure you're not a bot!" instead of the actual page thumbnail.

I assume there is a way to avoid this because I can share Codeberg links just fine without any issues, and they use Anubis.

It depends on how Discourse works, but you want OpenGraph passthrough: https://anubis.techaro.lol/docs/admin/configuration/open-graph. If you can figure out what Discourse's User-Agent header is, you can allowlist that in the Anubis config.
