I'm impressed by the design and functionality of the "Bob" server, and have installed it on my Windows system. I have a use case in mind for a small group. It serves and updates user tiddlers flawlessly.
However, I ran into a roadblock -- it is not updating system tiddlers and writing the modifications back to the server, so next time it is reloaded in the browser, the changes are lost. This includes configuration tiddlers like ServerIP, and the StoryList, and, maybe modified shadow tiddlers. So I cannot for example set it to re-load with the current set of open tiddlers.
So I'm thinking, maybe something in the install or config isn't right, or there's a setting I don't know about.
I'm willing to do some debugging if you can give a hint or two about where to look. Can I enable a debug / trace log? Browsing the code I found "uncomment this to trace to console", but is there a systematic way to do this?
