Has anyone added oAuth style auth to this?

Looking to get this up quickly with minimal config, just wanting it to work with omniauth or something.
Any examples?

Looking like omniauth would be simple to just override the sessions controller with the methods required for. I think I'm probably going down that road for now.

I haven't implemented OAuth yet with trestle-auth (closest I've done is a 2-factor auth with an additional login field, something I'll need to compile a guide on). It's something I'd definitely like to do though, most likely with a trestle-auth-oauth plugin.

It's been a while since I last implemented an OAuth login, but I'd possibly recommend using a separate controller for your OAuth callback endpoints. Within that, you'd want to then call the auth methods from Trestle::Auth::ControllerMethods (https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/blob/master/lib/trestle/auth/controller_methods.rb).

I'd also suggest looking at the auth.login.form hook (https://github.com/TrestleAdmin/trestle-auth/blob/master/app/views/trestle/auth/sessions/new.html.erb#L24) to place the login buttons but I'd be more than happy to add additional hooks to the form if you need something more suitable.

Just to document the front-end side of this (in 2021):

To get a social login button onto the Trestle-Auth Login page I used the following given the following assumptions:

• I wanted to post to a Omniauth controller in the mainapp, which was already working.
• I used an image for the button/link, which was stored under app/asset/images/.
• I needed to add a javascript_include_tag for the general trestle.js to get UJS so that the link_to could actually :post

I would have liked to make it look more like Stackoverflow for instance:

But that didn't work, because there isn't a hook to put something above email/password but under the flash.

One issue remains:

The login after redirect does not work correctly. Rather than being redirected to the intended resource view, it sends me to rootpath. Could it be that Trestle::ApplicationController is missing Devise::StoreLocation?
