In between/smoother animation frames

I'm aware that there was a question like this earlier, about having a looking up ending animation, for when you release the up input. But I cannot get it working for some reason, and I feel as though that may be because of an update. As I did notice that "gsp" was being used in the answer provided, while the newest version of the framework only uses "spd_ground" from my understanding.

Sorry, I should've given a bit more information. Basically, I wanna try to make a smoother ending for his looking up and crouching animations (along with possibly a few other ones). Because when I let go of the up or down inputs, it just snaps to his idle animation. I know there's already a discussion about it, but it isn't really working for me, and the framework has since been updated.

It has nothing to do with spd_ground. Navigate to scr_player_movement_ground and locate this code:

if input_down.up
{
	animation = ANI_LOOKUP;
}
else if input_down.down
{
	animation = ANI_DUCK;
}
else
{
	animation = ANI_IDLE;
}
			
set_push_anim_by = noone;

It forces ANI_IDLE if you're not holding up or down. Add a check that it should not do that if the current animation is ANI_LOOKUP_END (I'll call it that from now on)

You can make the animation to switch back to ANI_IDLE after ANI_LOOKUP_END has finished playing in the scr_player_animate script, line 80
