Flatpak issue

I'm not able to get the latest (or any) flatpak to install:

The error means Flatpak can't find the required runtime org.freedesktop.Platform/x86_64/24.08, which is specified in the TriliumNotes Flatpak package. This usually happens if the Flathub remote (where most runtimes are hosted) isn't enabled or the runtime hasn't been released to your Flatpak setup yet.

To fix this, first make sure Flathub is enabled:

flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo

Then try installing the runtime directly:

flatpak install flathub org.freedesktop.Platform//24.08

If you get an error saying the runtime isn't found, it's possible that 24.08 is not yet available on Flathub for your system or Flatpak version. In that case, you may need to wait for the runtime to be published, or use a different installation method.

There are no Trilium-specific workarounds or documentation for this issue. As an alternative, you can use the AppImage version of TriliumNotes, which doesn't require any runtimes and works on most Linux distributions. Just download the AppImage, make it executable, and run it. This approach is suggested as a simple and portable alternative to Flatpak for TriliumNotes (source).

Did all that. Everything installed without complaint.

I've now got two Trilium icons, with no graphic, in the Applications menu. Neither does anything,

I would really like to migrate to a flatpak version, but am running the "regular" version at present.

Confirmed on a different machine (Elementary OS v7.1)

Installs with an icon with no graphic. Clicking on icon, it seems to be doing something and dies.

It runs with flatpak run com.triliumnext.notes.
