ptpd needs more work

It doesn't even launch. The reason for this is because the getifaddrs() call on Illumos doesn't return AF_LINK addresses, which ptp2d requires. dmesg(1m) shows this clearly:

A patched 2.1 from Pluribus Networks has a lot of diffs, including the use of libdlpi to obtain the NIC's MAC address. I'm not sure yet if that's the best approach, but I can provide this patched 2.1 for inspection, if need be. (I may also be able to help a little immediately, and perhaps a lot more in February.)

Nothing was done to this package since we realized that a full porting effort (at least in the network stack area) is needed; it's literally sitting there waiting for someone with time to do it. I'd love to look at whatever you've got - and as always in general, patches welcome... ;)

Why would you close the issue if it wasn't fixed? I mean I understand patches are welcome (I'm working on 2.3.0 as I type this), but closing without fixing seems reckless.

Uh. That's some Github craziness. It caught a "closes #" commit message from an entirely unrelated message.
