Tyk Pump v1.9 Release Notes

Describe the error

Graph Pump setup documentation is outdated as important information from the Pump and Dashboard release notes are missing.

  1. detailed recording
    • The Graph Pump setup page mentions that detailed recording must be enabled for the Graph pump to work

      due to the detailed recording being needed for this Pump’s to function correctly

    • The Tyk Pump v1.9 Release Notes mention that detailed recording is not necessary anymore

      There has been a significant enhancement in Tyk Graph Pump with the removal of the dependency on the enable_detailed_recording setting.

  2. unclear which Pump version to use with Dashboard v5.3
  3. unclear whether graph analytics are visible in Dashboard
    • Tyk Dashboard 5.3 LTS Release Notes say that graph analytics work when stored in SQL database

      We have made the first step towards bringing our users GraphQL-focused monitoring capabilities. Users can now gain valuable insights into error trends and usage patterns for GraphQL APIs, when storing graph analytics in SQL databases

    • Graph Pump setup page mentions
      • in the MongoDB tab under "Current limitations", that analytics cannot be viewed in Dashboard yet

        Currently, Graph MongoDB Pump data can not be used in Tyk Dashboard yet, the data is only stored for recording purposes at the moment and can be exported to external tools for further analysis.

      • in the SQL tab, that

        The Graph SQL pump currently has the same limitations as the Graph Mongo Pump.
