Description
Summary
Ultramarine has memory management problems on RPI4. I saw that my vlc was crashing horribly on ultramarine linux, which seemed odd, but then I noticed other apps have issues too - especially window managers. Often when I ran some app, framebuffer would just randomly display a line of noise - indicating problems with memory.
I am unable to upload coredump right now. Sorry.
Steps to Reproduce
- Install Ultramarine on RPI4
- start vlc app under valgrind and sit back with a popcorn and 3D glasses (and just pray that valgrind will not crash under the amount of memory errors that vlc will produce)
- Perhaps run VLC GUI and click on Volume controls in context menu - that should lead to segfault after mutex lock fail
Possible Solutions
The issue is related to memory
