Airbags on KSC Runway interfere with aircraft acceleration

Using Exploration Pack 0.7.3.0 on KSP 1.2.2 build 1622 x64.
When trying to launch aircraft from KSC runway fitted with Large Airbag, it will suddenly stop during acceleration.
Once craft does launch, airbags continue working properly.
No such issues on VAB launchpad.
Debug menu shows no NREs or any other errors/warnings.
Placement and orientation of airbag(s) does not matter.
Issue persists from Survivability Pack (the original pack containing airbag parts).

It looks like the root of this issue is in USI Tools so I created UmbraSpaceIndustries/UmbraSpaceIndustries#124 there.
