Comments
Bumping up. I would guess another sub-branch of Unity to monetize on. Would be happy to get a production ready Barracuda at least. |
Hey Guys, if you would like to talk to Unity directly about this please grab a time w/ me here, or email me at bill dot cullen at unity3d dot com. I am seeking feedback about Barracuda to inform our future plans. |
Hi @cullenwire1 just wrote you on LinkedIn to make sure it's you. Google cal does not show emails so just in case 😄 would be happy to have a chat. |
Hi @cullenwire1 thank you for reaching out directly, quite surprised, pleasant at that. I am very curious about the future plans and will do my best to find time next week for a quick chat. Best! |
@srcnalt, did you get a response from @cullenwire1? Would be great to hear if there is a chance of further Barracuda development. ML is a great addition to game engines. |
Hi @dilne barracuda is now Sentis |
It's been over a month now Unity announced Unity AI, which we do not know exactly what is but probably will be tools around everything recent AI boom provided to us. Since quite a lot of open source AI models are also being released, a new version of Barracuda would be essential to bring these to Unity.
What will Unity's strategy be on that front, 2 options are not releasing Barracuda publicly to release and monetize AI models as a service, or let Unity developers find out their own use cases with the help of more dev tools?
