EFI disk creation on NVME/TCP does not work #46

@curruscanis

Description

@curruscanis

Creation of a EFI disk - in my testing for a Windows 2022 server - does not work when using NVME/TCP based storage.

EFI disk creation works for local storage, and also for iSCSI based storage using the plugin.

The error recieved when attempting to create VM with EFI storage on NVME/TCP storage:
TASK ERROR: unable to create VM 242 - copy failed: command '/usr/bin/qemu-img convert -p -n -O raw /usr/share/pve-edk2-firmware//OVMF_VARS_4M.ms.fd /dev/nvme1n5' failed: Insecure dependency in exec while running with -T switch at /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/perl-base/IPC/Open3.pm line 176.

I believe there was a similar issue with iscsi that I reported 10/31/2025.

Thank you.
