Setting column width programmatically?

I have a custom block that by design contains two or more inner block. Each of the inner blocks contains a columns block.

Is there a way I could set an attribute on the my-plugin/vertical-slider level, that would define the width ratio of all the column widths within my-plugin/vertical-slide > core/columns > core/column blocks?

I'm not exactly sure what you're trying to do. How are you creating these blocks? And why couldn't the column block itself not be set to a certain width, instead of the parent slide contain? Why do they have to be connected?
