Pavucontrol and overskride not rendering

I'm currently using this config as an inspiration to my own, I managed to install pavucontrol and overskride. But when I try to run them from the command line it just opens a transparent window with nothing in it. Searching for related issues it seems that hyprland faced some issues with gtk apps. Is there any configuration or setting that solves this issue in these dotfiles here?
