Streamling issues

Hello,

I’m currently working on a project where I need to implement a convolutional autoencoder on an FPGA using FINN. This is my first time working with both FINN and FPGA development.

While exploring the provided notebooks, I came across the following note in the section on streamlining:

“**The current implementation of streamlining is highly network-specific and may not work for your network if its topology is very different than the example network here. We hope to rectify this in future releases.**”

I would like to ask for clarification regarding this point. Specifically, I’m concerned about whether I might encounter issues when applying streamlining to my autoencoder model. Could you please elaborate on what is meant by "different network topology" in this context? Does it refer to the use of layers or architectures not covered in the example networks (e.g., non-classification models)?
