I've been using MeshCentral for a couple of years now and my company's use of it is becoming more and more central to our day-to-day business. As such, I've decided it would be a good idea to keep all the important parts of the system up to date with the latest security updates and so on. We run MeshCentral on an Amazon Linux 2023 instance.
One thing I've noticed is that when I update node I have to edit the service file for systemd in order to pick up the new node binary.
To me, this seems like something that could be made more straightforward, but my experience with node is limited to just this application. Is there a generally accepted best practice for ensuring that either, the service file is updated, or the node binary is put somewhere that is generally accessible without updating paths and so on.
