During our last meeting, we discussed how using the Share feature generates a link for easy access, which can conveniently provide temporary access to external parties/vendors to my clients' computers. The restrictions by Type, Validity, and Expire Time are excellent, but there is currently no option to restrict access with a password.
If, during the link creation process, there were an option to set a password (tied only to the current link and unrelated to users in MeshCentral), I could send the access link in plain text and the password separately (e.g., via a one-time note or SMS).
This way, even if the link is sent to a shared email and someone tries to use it, they would be blocked by the password. While not a perfect security system, it would be sufficient in many cases. Currently, my clients feel uneasy when I tell them I will send an access link that allows entry to their computer without additional authorization. Adding a password would significantly improve their (and mine) perception and confidence.
