Ability to mark groups and devices as inactive (and hide them)

I searched issues and discussions and didn't find any other related tickets, so I'm submitting this as a suggestion for an enhancement...

In some cases, it would be nice to be able to mark a group or individual devices as inactive rather than deleting them in case there is a need to re-activate them at a later date. The use of the inactive flag would be to hide them from the display, but then have a checkbox in the header to allow you to also show the inactive devices so that any could be seen and changed back to active mode.
