In xscreensaver-settings, when Disable Screen Saver is selected, the Lock Screen checkbox is greyed out along with other configuration options. However, if it was checked prior to disabling (so in .xscreensaver you have mode: off and lock: True), the screen will still lock after the combined timeout.
This seems to be a) a behavior change, and b) unintuitive. Suggest either the GUI should keep the appropriate configurations sensitive, or this locking behavior shouldn't happen. For comparison, whatever Ubuntu's default screensaver is keeps blanking and locking independent.
Versions affected:
6.08-1.fc37 on Qubes
6.04-2.fc37 on Qubes
Versions not affected:
5.45 on Ubuntu 22.04
Appreciate this mirror existing, thanks. If there's a better place to raise/track issues publicly, I'd be happy to move this.
