[FEATURE] Placeholder Images Displayed While Images Load

It would be cool if the timeline images optionally started with a placeholder while they loaded. Currently, the timeline shifts around while images pop in.

thanks @aaron9000 - no, not super important. it would be a nice feature for long timelines. I'm about to implement your timeline into a Gatsby site with 30+ events, so I'm trying to get this to work with gatsby-imageat the moment, but am going to do some sort of more basic lazy loading as a fallback. I wasn't sure if there was a lazy load option that I was missing here.
