My story:
I have used shimboot before and tested both the linux distro and chromeos but spoofed (because I use an enrolled chromebook) and it was great but there was one thing I couldn't get to work. The reason I used shimboot was to get linux, for installing apps like vscode and doing some development without needing my own computer. Linux debian wasn't really for me because of the way it looks and feels. I like the way chromeos looks and runs so I tried running the spoofed version of chromeos. It worked and was great for using my own account as the main account but the thing I was trying to do didn't really work, linux developer options. Becasue chromeos was spoofed Google's servers didn't let me download the linux files. So I thought of using chrome os flex instead, I don't use androind apps and the linux thing still exists. Chromeos Flex also is free which means google probably doesn't need some key to ensure the chromebook has been paid for. All this led me back to shimboot where I want to instead of booting linux os, use chromeos flex. I tried figuring out how to do it but hadn't much luck
