Hi there. I'm using Bermuda to track whether my dog is home or not using a BLE beacon on his harness. This helps me know the last time he's gone out. And how long he's been out in a given day/week/month.

That's awesome! A few folk on the HA community chat have been using it with their dogs too, including being able to know where their pups are at before they remote-open the door for cleaners etc. I've got cats and I still haven't got around to putting their tags on 😅

I'm using Bermuda to:

1. Have ble plant (temp/lux) sensors "mobile", the plants can be moved area to area and my magic_areas room aggregates remain correct, the plant card appears on the correct lovelace area view.
2. Track phone area as presence input for certain areas in magic_areas
3. Have wall tablets change the shown lovelace view when you take them for a walk (they're magsafe charging/attached to the walls)(using browser_mod.navigate and FKB)
4. Will also put tags on my cats, just need to find the very smallest ones

Brilliant! Peripatetic pot plants was not an anticipated use-case, that's cool 😄

Portable tablets is excellent too - i assume fkb is in-browser, is there a way to do dashboard switching with native companion? Most folk seem to recommend fkb for wall tablets anyway, it seems.

Yeah it's mostly browser_mod dependent, even need native app for ble transmitter 👍

Ohai, Guise! 👋

I want to implement conditional dashboards (showing relevant room you are currently in) as seen in my post about the video 'Room Presence Detection with Bermuda BLE and ESPHome'.

After that, perhaps keeping track of the cats (maybe even using that to negate false presence/motion triggers, but we will see).

There are many other applications I could imagine:

• "follow me" with our multi-room audio system
• adjusting HVAC in a room to the occupant(s) automatically
• surely many others
• Including cribbing some from the posts above, already. 😆

After reading up on everything, it seems like we are pursuing the state of the art here, and I'm really excited about tagging along for the ride! Cheers! 🍻
