Error: Branch not found when run on a tag/release

I am trying to only run it on a release (tag) to avoid unnecessary commits to main.
How ever, this seems not to be possible as it breaks with "Error: Branch not found".

I don't like that the action adds a commit every time I create a commit.

I'm getting the same problem. I've had to disable this until I can use it just when a tag is generated.
